SYP to hold "2024 Korea-EU Global Innovation Week" for diffe…

"2024 Korea-EU Global Innovation Week" will be held from June 10 to 13 at SYP headquarters and TIPS Town for companies selected for the differentiated startup 1000+ project.


The Differentiated startup 1000+ project will be overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the Korea Start-up Promotion Agency will support commercialization, R&D, open innovation, investment attraction, and policy funds to intensively foster promising start-ups in 10 ultra-gap fields, including AI and big data.


As an accelerator (AC), SYP Co., Ltd. has been in charge of "investment attraction" in four technology fields, including AI and big data, bio and health, eco-friendly and energy, and next-generation nuclear power plants, starting in 2024.


The detailed program consists of △ mentoring investment attraction strategies △ European Startup and Innovation Ecosystem Forum △ Demonstration Day, etc., with the aim of encouraging deep-tech startups to enter the European market and attract investment.


In particular, in the case of the forum, Faye Freyschmidt of the Berlin Partner and Marten Rauschenberg of the Asia Berlin will start the forum under the theme of "The Berlin Startup Support Ecosystem and Status of Support for Korean Companies."


In addition, Paulina Jänsch, CEO of LEANOX, will introduce an investment attraction strategy with "European Green Tech/AI Deep Tech Investment Trends," and Teodora Georgieva of Start2 Group will consider and share ways to demonstrate global PoC of deep-tech companies under the theme of "The Successful Cases of German PoC for Asian Companies."


Various European start-up support organizations and investment companies will participate in the program, including the Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe, the Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technology, the start-up support department under the Berlin state's economic, energy and business departments, the Berlin Investment Bank public investment fund IBB Ventures, investment institutions MTE, LEANOX, and the German Federal Ministry of Economic and Climate Protection (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz der Bundesrepublik Deutschland).


Participating companies will include 20 companies, including △ Able Therapeutics, △ YouthBioGlobal, △Massive, △GBSoft, △PS, △QuantumCat, △Tikaros, △Pantomix, △Ripla, △WhiteScan, △Ilias Biologics, △INTERX, △Lepidin, △InfoPla, △Lbase, △BJ Biochem, △Ditonic, △Rinergy, etc.


Meanwhile, SYP is a Scale-Up TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) operator designed to support technology start-ups by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, providing additional investment and commercialization support to start-ups that have been verified for technology and marketability. In addition, a global PoC program is also underway with Korea Science and Technology Holdings and Germany's Fraunhofer.
